We understand that due to a lack of qualifications and experience, a large proportion of Black and Ethnic minority migrants are unable to get highly paid employment.
Many are on a low income, well below the national average, and so have to rely on help from welfare benefits to supplement their income. With the continued rising cost of living in Britain, more and more people are finding it difficult to maintain a reasonable standard of living.
Asylum seekers and refugees are most affected by this and sometimes face mental breakdown.
