Racial Harassment is violence which may be verbal or physical. It may be attacks on people or property because of the race, colour, nationality, religion, and ethnicity. It includes racial jokes, snide remarks or name calling.
Racial incidents are very serious and should be dealt appropriately; many incidents do not get reported, so it makes it difficult to address the issues.
If you have suffered or encountered any form of racial harassment or abuse, no matter how small, you can report it to us or to the Police.
If you have been subjected to discrimination because of your race, religion or gender, do not suffer in silence, report it now!

Below are two examples of cases TACMEP have been involved in.
Harassment - At Work
One lady of African origin was verbally abused by colleagues at work because of her colour and background.
How We Helped
TACMEP supported her in taking legal action against her employers who were prosecuted and the lady was compensated.
Tacmep supported an Asian gentleman and his family who became a target by neighbours. They were constantly harassed and racially abused for almost 4 years.
How We Helped
CCTV was fitted outside the house for protection and evidence. After many more months of meetings with local authorities and legal teams, the family was finally re-housed elsewhere and the neighbours prosecuted.
