Financial Advice

Due to low incomes and the rising cost of living, many people may be facing financial difficulties, particularly those who are on benefits.

If you are one of these people:

We can offer you a one-to-one interview and give you information on how to deal with debts and manage your finances. If we think it is necessary, we will refer you to Citizen Advice Bureau's Money Advisor who will provide you with more expert advice and support.
This will help you avoid getting a bad credit record or going bankrupt, which will affect your credit rating for a long time.

At the same time, we will also look into your benefits entitlements to establish if you are missing out on any particular benefits which may help you.

We can also offer support in opening bank accounts so that your benefit payments can be made and any direct debits paid.

Money is available from Social Funds to people on benefits who need financial support in an emergency or are facing difficult times.

Please Note: TACMEP do not lend money.
